Hi Nick,I think your site is very good, especially considering that you and your Mom are not web techies. I have
done a few sites and I know how hard they are.
I love the work that you do and I am very happy that you had parents that found and rescued you and are helping you achieve your potential. I was also very happy to read on your site that you were able to find one of your brothers in Canada. That is amazing.
I first found your site and story a few years ago and YOUR story was one of the main things that helped me decide to become a C.A.S.A. That stands for Court
Appointed Special Advocate. As a CASA volunteer I went through training to help kids in the foster care system. Now, in my spare time, I work one on one with teen boys who are getting close to aging out of the system. I am never assigned to more than 2 boys at a
time. So, I'm able to work closely with them and make sure that the system gives them the help they need. I
also help the boys feel loved and to know that someone cares about them and their futures.
I have been able to directly help about 4 teens so far and I keep in touch with them, even when they have left foster care and are on their own. In fact, one
boy is living with me for awhile, while he bridges from foster care to the military, where he has chosen
to go for his first career step.
I noticed that your site now has information about Honduran street kids. One boy that I was just assigned
to work with is from Honduras. I was just assigned to work with him last week and will probably work with him
for the next year or two. I can't tell you about his circumstances, but although he wasn't a street child,
he has told me some of the stories about how it is for some children there. I'm glad your website educates
people about this.
Keep up the good work Nick. You're a very inspiring young man.
Best Wishes to you, and justice for all.

NOTE FROM ORPHAN WORLD-At this summer's LIVE8 concert,Bono said, "We cannot fix every problem, but the ones we can, we must." We hope this message spreads. Helping unwanted or unloved children, helps all humankind. It doesn't matter what time zone the child lives in. What matters is that children need mentors to thrive. We are very happy to learn that this website inspired Mark to help foster children.
